Chisuma is the Bemba word for gratitude or thankfulness. In a Zambian village you will hear children and adults alike using the word Chisuma to say thank you for any gift or service received. We chose the name Chisuma for our organization be cause we are both thankful for the opportunity to impact the lives of others around the world, and because we know how thankful the people we serve are for opportunities to improve their lives through our work.
Chisuma is a 501c3 organization dedicated to the purpose of providing opportunities for our supporters to be actively involved in bettering the lives, health, and economic opportunities of impoverished people in developing countries around the world.
We have started our work in Zambia, Africa and hope to expand into other parts of the African continent and the developing world as we grow.
We are a non-religious, non-discriminatory, organization who would love active participation from any person around the world who wants to partner with us to seek opportunities to offer humanitarian relief to impoverished populations.
We are currently involved in opportunities like feeding centers and mosquito net distribution, and through micro-finance empowerment opportunities that give entrepreneurs an opportunity to have funding to buy equipment to start small businesses that will have high likelihood of being sustainable and give the entrepreneur an opportunity to be self supporting.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
